MS Students Challenged to Be Creative and Truth-Seeking
The middle school has been highlighting some of the YISS ESLRs this year through Guardian Gatherings. On February 16, the whole middle school met in the gym while student leaders hosted an assembly focusing on the ESLRs of being “Creative” and “Truth-Seeking.” The leadership class performed a skit about how students can use creativity to show how to think critically and come up with different ideas. Their skit also highlighted how honesty and openness are always best. The MS StuCo students interviewed and recorded different students and teachers about what being creative and truth-seeking looks like, then showed the video during the assembly. Definitions of these ESLRs were shared, and StuCo led a game focusing on Creativity.
Student leaders worked hard to share these important topics with the whole middle school in an engaging and impactful way. The hope is for students to remember what they learned from the gathering and use the concepts of displaying creativity and being truth-seeking in their daily lives.
