MS Builds Connections By Ice Skating

On Jan 24, all the middle school students and teachers enjoyed Guardian Fun Day at Lotte World where they participated in ice skating. It was a great opportunity for students to practice some of the ESLR's or Expected Schoolwide Learning Results. These are a set of core values that YISS hopes every student will grow to display both inside and outside of the classroom.

As the students ice skated, it was great to watch many of them demonstrate commitment and compassion for each other. As some of the middle school students are very talented skaters, they had the opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills by teaching other students how to skate. The day ended with a group lunch, where students and teachers could continue to build tight-knit relationships by eating in small groups.
