SEW Wakes Up the ES and Gives Courage
This year’s ES Spiritual and Special Emphasis Week was truly a great one! The ES Division welcomed the Christian Band, FRVR FREE back again for a dynamic week of engaging messages and energizing music.
On each day of ES Spiritual Emphasis Week, Tega Taylor spoke to the NICS classes about how to “Wake Up!” to the presence of Jesus and the good news of God’s friendship in their lives.
For ES Special Emphasis Week, Madi Taylor spoke to the Oasis students about developing Courage and making choices that develop “Guts!”. The band led each session with games and vibrant, original songs that the children all know and love.
It was a real encouragement for the students to sing and dance along with a professional band that affirmed and instilled a sense of worth in the children each day. FRVR FREE began each session with an enjoyable game and then facilitated a time of hearty singing and dancing. This meant the children were able to move into a time of focussed listening during the message and deep reflection on the messages through journaling. FRVR FREE always gives their best to the YISS students during SEW and we are stronger Guardians because of this special week!
