YISS Student’s Website Wins 2nd Place in History Contest

Sophomore Ryan SW K. recently was awarded second place in the website category of the National History Day (NHD) contest. The NHD competition featured high school students from throughout the nation.

This year's theme for the competition was "Breaking Barriers" and Ryan's entry was an original website that highlights the significance of the printing press as a tool for breaking barriers throughout history. With the second place finish, Ryan's entry qualifies to move on to the next level of competition in the United States, to compete with NHD affiliate winners from all over the world. YISS is incredibly proud of Ryan for representing the school so well at this year's NHD competition.
