Yellow Hornets Become Field Day 2021 Champions

Rainy weather could not stop our elementary students from celebrating teamwork, fitness, and fun at ES Field Day 2021. On May 28, the Green Gators, Yellow Hornets, Blue Sharks, and Orange Tigers from all elementary grades participated in field day events in the gyms, MPR2, and classrooms.

Some of the events included tossing rubber chickens into rings, bowling, a scooter relay, beach ball volleyball, and even laser tag.  There were also games held in the classrooms such as bean bag balance, cup stacking, a marshmallow and toothpick challenge where students tried to build the tallest structure with only those two items, blindfolded cotton ball scoop, and wrapping a classmate like a mummy using toilet paper.

At the end of the day, the Yellow Hornets earned the most points, making them the ES Field Day 2021 champions! This event was possible thanks to the flexibility and helpfulness of our ES staff. We appreciate all that they do!
