Swimmers of All Ages Set Records at Invitational

On Saturday, May 22, YISS Aquatics hosted the 10th Annual Spring Invitational, an all-ages swim competition. While we were not able to accommodate swimmers from other schools as tradition dictates, the Aquatics Department still wanted to provide the opportunity for swimmers of all ages to have a chance to compete and establish personal best times this year, despite interscholastic restrictions for safety.

Thanks to the help of the many volunteers, the support of the spectators, and the dedication of the swimmers, we were able to experience a high-class competition. It was festive and exciting while still respecting safety protocol.

Since swimming is a sport that values personal improvement, swimmers who broke or set a new personal best time for their events were given a “guardians” tattoo! The Aquatics Department is proud of all students who competed, set new records, and the many who even experienced their first swim meet!
