Guardians Excel at KASS #1 Fall Splash

Our 104 Guardians made a strong showing at the KASS (KAIAC Age-group Swim Series) #1 Fall Splash meet held on October 26 at SFS. They secured notable rankings in both individual and combined scores. In the women’s team rankings, YISS finished in a commendable third place, boosting their score from 305 points at the 2023 KASS#1 to 617.50 points on Saturday! The men’s team also demonstrated impressive skills, securing third place, increasing from 308 points (2023 KASS#1) to 390 points! 

Overall, YISS's combined total rose from 613 points (2023 KASS#1) to 1,007.50 points (3rd place), highlighting its significant growth and solidifying its status as a strong competitor in the KASS league.

Jordyn C. (7) finished with an impressive time of 1:24.06 in the Girls 11-12 100m Butterfly, shattering her previous best of 1:36.23 and setting a new KASS record!

Yunejay L. (8) secured first place in two events. He finished the Boys 13-14 50m Butterfly with a time of 28.07, surpassing his seed time of 28.20 and setting a new KASS record. He also competed in the 100m Breaststroke, where he clocked in at 1:13.01, setting a new KASS records as well. 

Abigail L. (7) made waves in the Girls 11-12 200m Freestyle, finishing with 2:22.50. This performance significantly improved over her seed time of 2:37.88, earning her first place and establishing a new KASS record!
