Ossembly Students Bring Joy to Elementary Classes
High school Ossembly students recently visited kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade classrooms, bringing joy and learning by engaging the students in fun activities. This initiative fostered connections between older and younger students while promoting literacy and creativity.
As part of their commitment to the Servant-Hearted ESLR, the high school students planned and led interactive sessions, including reading aloud, games, and arts-based projects designed to inspire young learners.
Each session lasted 30 minutes, with small groups of 10 to 12 high school students, guided by student leaders and a homeroom teacher. On February 19, the high school students visited the 1st and 2nd grade, and on February 26, they visited kindergarten. This program not only encouraged a love for learning but also strengthened mentorship and community bonds. The YISS community is proud of the Ossembly students for their leadership, creativity, and dedication to service. Their efforts have made a lasting impact on the school!
