MS Family Picnic Welcomes the MS Community

On Friday, August 16, the YISS middle school community hosted the annual PTO-sponsored MS Family Picnic. The picnic-style gathering created a laid back atmosphere for students, families, teachers, and staff to enjoy the summer evening. It was an invaluable opportunity for new families to connect to other families and to learn more about the middle school community.

Dad’s Club brought out their grills and cooked up nearly 300 delicious hotdogs to be served alongside mac and cheese, veggies, and chips. A new parent generously brought a dish of home baked chicken wings and nuggets for everyone to enjoy. The gym was also open for students to play volleyball and basketball, and everyone had fun participating in the raffle. Finally, to close the night on a sweet note, everyone got an ice pop for dessert. The MS Family Picnic truly brought the middle school community together, all in readiness for the new school year!
