HS Students Use Tech Skills to Create Books for Children

For their final project this semester, high school students in Mr. Heil's Computer Applications' class created stories for elementary students. They used Adobe Illustrator to create their original illustrations through vector artwork to go along with the narrative arc and story they wrote specifically for our elementary students. In each story, students wrote it in a way to teach a valuable lesson using our mascot, the Guardian. 

After they wrote and illustrated them, they printed and bound them to create a nice book to be held in the YISS library for others to read. Finally, students animated their stories in After Effects. This project was an ideal way to have students use the technology skills they learned in Computer Applications to create and share meaningful stories with younger students.
