YISS MUN Team Competes at Dartmouth College

From April 7-9, our YISS MUN team sent a group to compete at the DartMUN conference held at Dartmouth College. Despite stiff competition, nearly half of our team won recognition for their excellence, including:

  • Best Position paper for the Disarmament and International Security Committee: Claire Soyoon Lee (9th) and Mia Marce (9th)

  • Verbal Commendation for the World Health Organization committee: Ashton Shim (11th)

The team also enjoyed the food and culture of Boston as they walked through the Boston Commons, ate at Quincy Market, and went to the site commemorating the Boston Tea Party. Further, the team heard about college life from alumni at both Harvard and Dartmouth. The joys and challenges of travel helped the group bond and grow together.

Overall, the team modeled the ESLRs through their Leadership, Collaboration, Creativity, Commitment, and Servant-Hearted approach. Great job on making YISS proud and finishing our season strong!
