Uniform Consignment Sale Enables School Uniforms to Find New Homes

The YISS PTO held its annual Uniform Consignment Sale in the school’s main lobby from November 20-22, alongside the Fall Book Fair. From early November, Co-Chairs Tarjani Atal and Mitz Villahermosa- Mercadante worked hard to collect and sort the uniform items dropped off by participating parents.

The Uniform Consignment Sale is held as a service to our school community by the YISS PTO. The proceeds from the sale of consigned clothing are returned to consignors. The co-chairs were delighted that the number of consignors reached a new high and that the community took full advantage of the opportunity to browse the sale for new and gently-used items.

The PTO has decided that it will host only one Uniform Consignment Sale this school year. Parents who are interested in participating are encouraged to do so in November 2020. The PTO may be accepting new or gently-used uniforms from families who will be departing at the end of the school year. More information will be announced during the fourth quarter.

The YISS PTO would like to thank the parents who volunteered their time and effort to support the Uniform Consignment event. We hope many in the YISS community will continue to benefit from this service.
