Students Enjoy Many Activities After School
At YISS, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of after school activities (ASA) from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Students enjoy learning and growing in many different areas from academics and sports to the arts in the ASA program with their friends and classmates.
The second trimester of ASA, which runs from November 25 to February 14, is off to a great start! There are currently 340 ES and MS students participating in 44 different activities this trimester. Sports options include basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming, fencing, and taekwondo, while visual art activities include arts & crafts, ceramics, cross stitching, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, photography, and bullet journaling. Other activities include orchestra, piano, CAD and 3D printing and STEM science fun.
Our ASA program helps students explore and develop new hobbies and skills that can help them become well-rounded. These activities are a positive way to build social skills, teamwork skills, sportsmanship, creativity, etc. The program also contributes to the strengthening of self-confidence as students grow in their personal abilities and knowledge.
