ES Students Dive Into Friendships at Scuba VBS

Each year, the elementary school’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Values-Based School (VBS) provide a meaningful opportunity for students to be grow in their faith or values, engage in hands-on learning activities, and create special memories with friends before the start of summer. From May 29-31, the entire campus transformed into an immersive learning environment where students moved from one exciting station to another.

At Vacation Bible School with NICS students, we dove into a deeper friendship with God by exploring His incredible qualities as a friend! Fun scuba-themed underwater characters guided us through lessons on trusting in this real and loving friend. We sang uplifting songs and delved into transformative Bible stories that illustrated the profound friendship God offers.

Meanwhile, at Values-Based School with Oasis students, we focused on how to be trustworthy friends ourselves. We learned how Guardians can cultivate friendship through wisdom and character. Each student had the chance to sing, dance, play enjoyable games, and create meaningful crafts while rotating through various stations around the school.

Hearing from students about their enjoyment of the event was heartwarming. They shared how it helped them grow in their faith or values and strengthened their bonds with friends. The lessons, purposeful games, activities, and crafts were designed to encourage students to stay resilient, even when life feels challenging.

We believe that the elementary students not only had fun but also gained valuable insights on how to keep swimming when life throws them a challenge.
