MUN Team Wins Several Awards at JejuMUN

From November 23-25, YISS Model United Nations (MUN) team members traveled to Jeju to compete in the JejuMUN Conference hosted by Korea International School Jeju. After a day of team-building activities, students participated in the conference alongside over 300 delegates. Apart from Busan Foreign School, YISS was the only other school outside of Jeju to participate in the conference.

Our team featured 15 delegates from all grade levels who collaborated on committees to solve a wide range of issues. It was a stimulating conference where our students’ creativity, public speaking skills, collaboration, and research abilities were stretched and expanded. Overall, seven delegates, three of whom were competing in their very first MUN conference, won individual awards. 

Ms. Dooley, Mr. Pash, and Mr. Chan would like to commend the whole team on a job well done and congratulate the following students on their individual awards:

The MUN team is scheduled to compete in the Harvard Model Congress Middle East Conference to be held in Dubai from January 19-21, 2024.
