YISS MS Quiz Bowl Team Secures Second Place at APIS

On November 23, the YISS MS Quiz Bowl Team A, with members Elisa M. (8), Nayoon L. (7), Linden C. (7), and Nolan S. (8), secured second place at the tournament held at APIS, qualifying them for the Middle School NAQT National Championships for the second year in a row. The team diligently trained to be able to rapid-fire answer questions that cover a wide range of topics, such as history, science, literature, sports, and culture. Teams qualify for the MS NAQT National Championships by performing at tournaments held throughout the year using questions supplied by NAQT.

For the final National Academic Quiz Tournament, the team will travel to Chicago, Illinois in May. Additionally, Linden C. and Nolan S. both finished in the top ten in individual standings.
