Middle School Elects Student Council Members
On September 17-18, the middle school students watched speeches recorded by their peers and voted for their student council members. Not only did the nominees record speeches, but they also created virtual posters that were distributed to their peers on Schoology.
The electees had many goals in mind for the 2020-2021 school year, both for the group as a whole and individually.
“As a group, I hope [we] achieve bringing our school community together this year. I plan to do so by doing various activities such as talent shows, raffles, and design competitions,” president Emily D. said.
Impacting the experience of the middle school community was on everyone’s mind, but some members also looked inward when setting their goals for the year.
“My personal goal for being on the council this year is to exercise my leadership and listening skills as a representative. I want to use this experience to learn and to grow into a representing member of the school community,” 6th-grade representative Seunghun L. said.
Congratulations to our middle school student council members!
