Kindergarteners Promoted to First Grade in Special Ceremony
The 41 students of the YISS kindergarten classes took part in the Kindergarten Promotion Ceremony on Tuesday, June 4, at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme for the ceremony coincided with the schoolwide theme, “Impacting the World by Investing in Others.”
Throughout the ceremony, the kindergartners shared about investing in others by showing love through songs such as “Big Heart,” “Love Will Never Fail,” “My Life For You,” and “Do Be Give Love.” These songs shared about God’s amazing love for us and how we should share this love with the world. Besides learning songs, the kindergartners also presented memory verses related to the theme.
In addition to sharing their learning through the program, the kindergartners decorated the auditorium with hearts on which they had written thoughtful ways they invest in others on a daily basis. Everyone was so excited to see each student perform and be promoted to first grade. The kindergartners did a wonderful job, and their families and teachers were thrilled to be able to celebrate their transition into first grade!
