1B Guardians “Go Green” and Plant a Tree on Campus

On Monday, October 30, students in 1B offered a hand in helping to plant their lovely pine tree prize for winning the FunFest “Guardians Go Green” Game Booth Award. The YISS PTO encouraged all ES classes to reuse and repurpose existing materials to make and decorate their FunFest game booths as much as possible.

Instead of a pizza or ice cream party, 1B students opted to “go green” and chose to plant an evergreen along the walkway leading up to the school’s main building. With shovels and watering cans in hand, they are learning the importance of protecting and loving our environment. Thank you, parents and students, for supporting our “Guardians Go Green” efforts. Congratulations, 1B!

May the new tree serve as a visible reminder of the importance of protecting and loving our environment for our community. Guardians, go green!
