YISS Varsity Girls Win the Korean Classic Volleyball Tournament

The YISS varsity girls volleyball team won the Korea Classic Volleyball Tournament for the fifth  year in a row by beating TCIS, SFS, and KIS. The team’s tenacious defense and strong offense even under pressure helped the Lady Guardians to come out on top once again.

During the first game, the team first swept TCIS with junior JoJo P. and sophomore Sydney C. both getting six aces. Junior Megan P. had seven kills, while freshman Alex S. had five.

Next, the team went on to play SFS in an incredibly intense match. Senior Eliana K. served well “in the clutch” to help seal the win with four aces. JoJo P. and Megan P. were both on fire with their defensive passing in addition to Megan nailing 11 kills.

Lastly, the Lady Guardians defeated KIS with Anna F., earning a team-high of four kills. The win allowed the Guardians to defend their Korean Classic title. Strong leadership and team unity have contributed to the team's success. So far this season, the YISS girls volleyball team is not only undefeated, but also has the potential to place first in the KAIAC Conference and Tournament!
