YISS Hosts Exciting Day of Competition at Spring Swim Invitational

The Spring Swim Invitational hosted by Yongsan International School of Seoul (YISS) brought together eight Korean-American Interscholastic Activities Conference (KAIAC) member schools and over 450 swimmers on Saturday, April 20, for an exciting day of competition. YISS swimmers demonstrated exceptional talent across various events, showcasing outstanding performances.

In the Girls 13-14 100 SC Meter Individual Medley, Camila H. (7) impressed with a commanding time of 1:21.24, securing the top position. Similarly, Yunejay L. (7) claimed victory in the Boys 13-14 100 SC Meter Individual Medley with a swift time of 1:07.10.

Soul J. (11) exhibited remarkable speed in the Girls 15 & Over 50 SC Meter Freestyle, finishing first with a remarkable time of 29.01 seconds. Yunejay L. (7) further showcased his prowess by winning the Boys 13-14 50 SC Meter Butterfly in 28.79 seconds.

Throughout the competition, YISS swimmers continued to excel. Sophie S. L. (5) triumphed in the Girls 11-12 100 SC Meter Breaststroke with a time of 1:41.26, while Chris H. (8) secured victory in the Boys 13-14 100 SC Meter Breaststroke with 1:16.48.

Yuri L. (4) exhibited exceptional skill in the Girls 9-10 50 SC Meter Breaststroke, finishing first with a time of 44.51 seconds. Chris H. (8) achieved another victory in the Boys 13-14 50 SC Meter Breaststroke, clocking in at 35.71 seconds.

Yuri L. (4) also claimed victory in the Girls 9-10 100 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 1:22.48. Camila H. (7) continued the winning streak in the Girls 13-14 100 SC Meter Freestyle with 1:08.33, while Soul J. (11) secured victory in the Girls 15 & Over 100 SC Meter Freestyle, finishing in 1:03.33.

Chloe S. P. (9) demonstrated exceptional endurance in the Girls 13-14 200 SC Meter Freestyle, securing victory with a time of 2:28.03. Lastly, Yunejay L. (7) showcased his endurance in the Boys 13-14 400 SC Meter Freestyle, finishing in 4:44.70.

In the combined team scores, YISS secured fourth place with 1048 points. YISS ranked third among the girls’ teams with 656 points, while the boys’ team ranked fourth with 392 points. Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performances in the pool.
