NHS and Tri-M Host Joint Induction Ceremony

On Tuesday, October 29, the YISS chapters of the National Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society held an induction ceremony to welcome their newest members. The ceremony involved wonderful speeches by student and adult leaders and music performances.

The National Honor Society is an organization dedicated to recognizing outstanding high school students who exemplify the four NHS pillars of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. In order to be a member, students must also have a minimum GPA of 3.7 and be actively involved in community service. Limited to only 30 students, this organization's members understand and respect the gravity of their role at YISS, as well as the examples that all must serve to be.
