Juniors and Seniors Shine in “A Starry Night” at Prom

On May 19, YISS juniors and seniors experienced a long-awaited and enchanting evening as they gathered together to celebrate A Starry Night, marking the school's first prom in three years. The much-anticipated event took place at the Crystal Ballroom of the Banyan Tree Hotel. With a perfect blend of elegance and excitement in the atmosphere, students created unforgettable memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Following a wonderful meal, the students eagerly took to the dance floor. The Crystal Ballroom was transformed into a dazzling space, adorned with twinkling lights and enchanting decorations, setting the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable evening. One highlight of the night arrived with the crowning of the Prom King and Prom Queen. Amidst cheers and applause, Paul Rho and Rhea Motiyani accepted their crowns and shared an embrace.

None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the JS Prom Committee, led by seniors Hamin Lee and Alex Sohn. The committee members, including Ansu Lee, Jayden Jongwhee Lee, Joy Hwang, David Lee, and Audrey Young, invested countless hours in planning and organizing the event to perfection.

In addition to the JS Prom Committee, the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) played an invaluable role in the preparation of the event. Their unwavering support and generous contributions were evident in the stunning centerpieces that adorned each table, adding an extra touch of elegance to the venue. Furthermore, the PTO collaborated with the committee to create a captivating photo wall, providing the students with a picturesque backdrop to capture their cherished prom memories.

The success of the prom would not have been possible without the enthusiastic participation of the students, parents, faculty, and staff who attended the event. Their presence and positive energy contributed to the overall enjoyment of the evening, creating a sense of unity and camaraderie among the YISS community. Thank you to everyone who came out for a great time!
