The YISS Music Department led by Mrs. Lynelle Harding recently hosted the KAIAC Large Group Festival at YISS on Friday, October 18. KAIAC music festivals provide an opportunity for music students to perform before a panel of judges who are music professionals. Students receive a rating as well as critical feedback to help them further develop their music skills. 

Participating international schools included YISS, KIS, APIS, and Dalton. Each choir, band, and orchestra offered excellent performances, which made the KAIAC Large Group Festival event an exciting day for all involved. 

The YISS High School Choir, under the direction of Sommer Page and accompanied by Esther Jeon, received a "Gold" rating for their performance. The YISS High School Band, under the direction of Brittany Ludwig (who also served as an adjudicator for the event), received a "Gold" rating as well.
