Homecoming Week Continues To Grow

YISS welcomed back 34 alumni during Homecoming Week, which took place from January 7-9, 2019. The group this year included an alumna from as far back as 2005, Jeanne Kim. It also included four alumni who are currently working at YISS, Ellen Park (2007), Angela Petersen (2007), Haley Ha (2008), and Adrianne Wang (2010).

Tuesday, a group of former YISSers challenged the staff basketball team in the annual alumni game. After a two-year drought, the staff team pulled out the victory, defeating the alumni 85-81. The alumni team included: Jonathan Kim (2008), Sean Kim (2009), and a group from 2014 – Jae Park, SJ Lee, Jun Lee, and James Bai.

On Wednesday, 15 alumni came to the 2nd annual luncheon, followed by the all-school pep rally and homecoming game vs. Osan. Alumni enjoyed the game along with coffee and donuts in the gym lobby as they caught up on each other’s lives. Between the varsity games, alumni were able to share what they are up to now. It was the best turnout for a homecoming, and YISS will continue to grow this exciting event.
