Blue Team Takes the Gold at MS Field Day
During the last week of April, middle school students took part in Field Day. It was great to have students on campus this year to compete in their events. All of the students did a great job and showed good sportsmanship while cheering on their teammates. For each grade level, students signed up for either track & field events, aquatic events, or a basketball tournament.
For track & field, students competed in 50m sprint, 100m sprint, high jump, long jump, throwing events using the giant soccer balls, four-way tug-o-war, and even limbo! For the aquatics area, students could choose between freestyle races, water polo, and various other races with twists, such as pushing a ball while swimming or using a kickboard. Basketball was played in a bracket-style tournament, with each color competing against one another. In each of the three competition arenas, points were awarded to the winning teams. In the end, the Blue Team pulled out a win by having the most combined points for all three grades.
It was great to see so many teachers and staff supporting field day. Some staff members helped run different events while teachers took the time to support their students while they competed. It was a great example of being a good teammate.
Thank you to everyone who made Middle School Field Day 2021 a success!
