On Friday, March 1, YISS students Claire C. (2), Justin S. (2), Kate L. (4), Andrew C. (4), Ella C. (5), Justin C. (5), Avery S. (6), Jimin H. (7), William K. (7), Alexandra S. (8), and Sophie C. (8) participated in the 2019 President Cup International Students Ski Competition hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Ski Association. The competition drew a total of 54 skiers from nine international schools (CI, YISS, SFS, SIS, KIS, BCC, SCIS, SAIS, ISB).

Kudos to the following students on their individual accomplishments:

Alexandra S. (8) - 1st place in Giant Slalom and Combination in the under-16 division

Sophie C. (8) - 2nd place in Giant Slalom and Combination in the under-14 division

Ella C. (5) - 2nd place in Giant Slalom and Combination in the under-12 division

Kate L. (4) - 2nd place in Giant Slalom and Combination in the under-10 division

Great runs by YISS skiers Justin C. (5), Andrew C. (4), Justin S. (2) helped the YISS skiers to place 2nd as a team in the under-12 division as well as place 2nd as a team in the over-12 division.

Sophie C. (8) also participated and placed in three other ski competitions this season.

• 2nd place in Giant Slalom in the PyeongChang National Ski Competition (Mar. 3, 2019)

• 3rd place in Giant Slalom in the Alpine Ski Competition hosted by Korea Ski Association (Jan. 27, 2019)
