MS Swimmers Represent YISS Well at KAIAC Championships
On December 7, YISS hosted the annual KAIAC MS Swimming Championships in our newly renovated pool. Nine other middle schools from around Seoul brought their ten fastest male and female swimmers to compete for individual top times and top places for their teams.
Led by 8th graders Kaylin B., Jaimie H., and 7th graders Soul J. and Abby K., the YISS girls captured second place for their team and an individual first place in the 100-meter Individual Medley by Jaimie H. The YISS boys were led by 8th graders Daniel P. and Jeffery Y. and 7th grader Benjamin C., who overcame illness and adversity to take fourth place and earn several individual best times.
These accomplishments included many personal best times by swimmers on both the boys’ and girls’ teams. Each swimmer contributed valuable points to the overall team score and worked hard throughout the season to earn a place on the championship team. We look forward to next season for a chance to improve and represent YISS well once again.
