This year, the YISS annual Christmas concerts were performed in the YISS auditorium and live streamed for audiences at home to enjoy. The YISS students did a fantastic job of bringing Christmas cheer to our community through classic holiday songs! The MS and HS concerts were performed under the direction of the performing arts directors, Susanna Pavon, Emily Nichols, and Christian Davis, with accompanist Hyemin Lee and percussion instructor Jinhee Roh.

The 6th Grade Girls Choir, Orchestra, and Band performed their Premier Concert on November 26. Each music group performed celebratory Christmas songs such as the 6th Grade Girls Choir’s “Glory, Hallelu!,” the 6th Grade Orchestra’s “A Jazzy Jingle,” and the 6th Grade Band’s “Candy Cane Lane.”

The 7th and 8th Grade Choirs, Orchestras, and Bands performed both classic and modern Christmas song renditions on December 3. The concert concluded with a Christmas carol sing-along featuring the songs “Silent Night” and “A Holiday Sing-Along.”

The High School Jazz Band, Choir, Orchestra, Concert Band, and Symphonic Orchestra and Choir performed their Christmas Concert on December 10. Their selected songs featured lively Christmas music such as “The First Noel,” “Winter Wonderland,” “O Holy Night,” “Winterscape,” and “A Christmas Festival.”

Thank you to the teachers and staff who offered assistance with rehearsal and auditions, the YISS PTO for their support with stage decorations, Mark Ludwig and Ram Heo for running the theater lights and sounds, and YISS choir, orchestra, and band parents for their support and encouragement.
